Cookie Care

Your box just showed up. Here's how to make it last.

A little care goes a long way with cookies this fresh. Here's how we keep ours tasting like they just came out of the oven, even a few days in.

On the Counter

Keep them sealed in the box or bag they arrived in. That packaging is doing more work than you'd think. A cool, dry spot away from direct sun keeps them at their best.

They're at their peak for about 5 days, and still good for up to a week if they stay sealed. After that, the freezer's your friend.

Warming Them Back Up

A cookie that's a few days old still has some magic left. It just needs a minute of heat to remember what it's for.

Microwave: Unwrap it first: straight onto a plate, no packaging. About 10–12 seconds is usually the sweet spot. Check it before you go longer; every microwave runs a little different.

Oven: Preheat to 300°F. Cookies out of any wrapping, straight onto a tray, about 4–5 minutes until the edges feel warm. Worth it if you're warming more than a couple at once.

Stashing Some for Later

Cookies freeze better than most people expect. Wrap them individually, or lay them in a single layer before bagging together, in a freezer-safe bag or container. That's what keeps freezer burn away.

They'll hold well for up to 2 months. When you're ready for one, let it thaw on the counter, then warm it the same way as above.

A Few Ways We Like Them

  • Give a warmed-up cookie a minute to rest before you bite in. Straight out of the oven, that center is lava.
  • Coffee or a cold glass of milk turns any of these into a whole moment, not just a snack.
  • If you've got a few flavors in the box, try them at different temperatures before picking a favorite: warm brings out the chocolate ones, cold makes the citrus and berry sing.

How Ruby Would Eat Each One

Ruby's Classic

Warm it up. The chocolate chunks go properly molten.

Nutella Amour

A few seconds of heat brings that hazelnut center right back to life.

Dubai Jewel

Best at room temp. Keeps the kataifi crisp instead of soft.

Coco Chérie

Pairs really well with coffee. The toasted coconut comes through more at room temp.

Lemon Blue

Try it cold from the fridge on a hot day. The lemon gets brighter.

Golden Crunch

Warm it slightly for the best contrast between the caramel and the crunch.

A quick note on allergens

Our cookies contain wheat, milk, eggs, and soy, and some flavors also contain or may contain peanuts, almonds, hazelnuts, pistachios, or coconut. Everything is made in a shared home kitchen, so we can't guarantee zero cross-contact. If you have a serious allergy, please check each flavor's ingredient info before ordering.
